Vivekananda Kendra appeals to all able men and women, who have genuine urge for nation building and for the service of the poor and downtrodden to avail themselves of this avenue of a lay order.

Today, there is a congenial climate for concerted effort for national reconstruction. Our country is abundant with men and woman of character, patriotism, service, adventure, discipline, education, competence and industry and content with simple life with their reasonable needs of body and mind.

Scope of this project is Maharashtra and Goa.

Approximately 60 Pravaasi Karyakartas are traveling in Maharashtra to organize coordinators (108) and Yuva Karyakartas (450) for the project. 

The expected expenses are on account of traveling multiple times and multiple layers, various type of printing material including 40000 books, food expenses for one day shibir; approximately 400 shibirs in state with average 75 participants,

5 Days Prant Shibir expenses along with food and residence facilities- average Rs. 100/- per youth, per day. 
You may participate in this National Movement:-

• By sponsoring one day Shibir.
• By sponsoring part of Prant Shibir or One day Shibir.
• By giving donation for printing material.
• By sponsoring food for One day Shibir or Prant Shibir.

The proposed Prant Shibir Structure will be as under

Group of 25 youth will form one GANA  
6 GANAS i.e. 150 group of youth will form One MANDAL  
3 MANDAL will form i.e. 450 group of youth will form ONE NAGAR  
6 NAGAR will form PRANT SHIBIR i.e. 2650 YOUTHS.  
450 Karyakarta will be in Shibir vyavastha including 108 GANA PRAMUKHS.  

Need of the Hour

The most important need of the hour is for the people of India to hold on steadfastly to the great ideals of the Nation.

Can we at least start by cleansing some of the obvious road blocks and put our heads together to make our former President APJ Abdul Kalam's exhortation,

" Dream, dream, dream; dream like a big nation of a billion people, not like a small country of a million people".

Vivekananda Kendra from its very inception has been trying to realize this glorious vision of Swamiji by taking up various types of activities like National education, All-round upliftment of rural and tribal population, spreading Yoga and spirituality and taking a number of projects impacting people at the grass root level.

With this end in view Kendra has been systematically spreading its network in all parts of the country with the object of actualizing Swamiji's national vision.

India's global vision, as visualized by  Swamiji, namely influencing the whole world with the smoothening and elevating spiritual message, has also come into effect with the inauguration of the Vivekananda Kendra International at Delhi.

It has launched a programme of establishing cultural and intellectual contact with the major Civilizations of the world.

Vivekananda Kendra believes in the culture of dialogue. That was what Swamiji visualized as India's role at the global level.
